She made sure she was filmed having “robust” exchanges with Jean Claude Juncker, the EU Commission President, but no one was fooled. This wasn’t a “handbag moment” like Margaret Thatcher’s at Fontainebleau in 1984. Mrs May doesn’t carry a handbag. .
