Bus Replacements Scheduled for Glasgow Railway Station on Sunday.

On Sunday, April 16, bus replacements will be operating on multiple train routes from Glasgow Queen Street station. This is due to essential track maintenance being carried out between the station and Bishopbriggs.

ScotRail advises all passengers to verify their travel plans prior to their journey, as some departure and arrival times will be altered. As previously mentioned, flood resilience work on the Glasgow-Edinburgh line will commence this weekend, impacting services on all routes to and from Glasgow Queen Street.

Train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Anniesland will be canceled and replaced with buses. Until 10:30 am, buses will substitute trains on the route between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh, stopping at Croy, Falkirk High, Polmont, Linlithgow, and Haymarket.

Following 10:30 am, trains will be rerouted, skipping Croy and Falkirk High, but stopping at Falkirk Grahamston. Revised departure and arrival times will be in effect for Glasgow Queen Street. Buses will take the place of trains between Queen Street and Linlithgow, making stops at Croy, Falkirk High, and Polmont.

On the Alloa route, trains will operate on a modified schedule and will not stop at Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, or Croy. Instead, buses will replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling, stopping at Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Croy, and Larbert.

Until 10:30 am, buses will substitute trains on the Queen Street to Cumbernauld route. After that, train services will resume normal operations and extend to Alloa. For passengers traveling to Oban, buses will replace trains from Glasgow Queen Street to Crianlarich, where they can connect to rail services.

An express service will be available directly to the village, with additional services stopping at Dalmuir, Dumbarton Central, Helensburgh Upper, Garelochhead, Arrochar & Tarbet, and Ardlui.

For those traveling to Aberdeen, Inverness, and Elgin, buses will replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Perth. Passengers are encouraged to plan accordingly and check ScotRail’s app or website for updates on their journey.
