The family of the late Princess Diana continues to support Prince Harry amidst his ongoing discord with the Royal Family, reveals a former Royal butler. Harry, known widely as the Duke of Sussex, is currently in a state of disagreement with The Firm on account of several profound accusations made by him. This tense relationship was evident during his recent visit to the UK where he avoided any interaction with the royals.

According to sources, Charles Spencer, the Earl, and Lady Jane Fellowes, siblings of Diana, have openly shown their support for Harry. In the past, during Diana’s funeral, Earl Spencer had vowed to always stand by Harry and his elder brother, Prince William. He assured that Diana’s “blood family” would persistently safeguard Harry and William both “spiritually and emotionally”.

Harry’s recent visit to Glasgow did not feature any interaction with the Royal Family members. It was whispered that Harry intended to meet his father, King Charles, but the king was reportedly too engaged to see his son.

Harry and Charles
Prince Harry and King Charles have had a strained relationship in recent years.

Furthermore, Harry had not planned any meeting with his now-alienated brother, William. Paul Burrell, an ex-royal butler, shared his belief that Diana “would be devastated” knowing the extent of the Royal feud.

During his conversation with Bella Magazine, Paul expressed that the feud might not have begun had Diana been alive. He explained his point saying, “She would have seen this starting and she would have stopped it.”

Paul added, “She would have made Harry apologise to Charles, and Diana would have been the peacemaker in the situation – she was always one. She dreamt of the four of them being united.”

“It broke her heart when that unity fell apart. She would have anticipated that once that unity crumbled, William and Harry would face issues, and that has happened.”

In the absence of Diana, Paul deems it “a lost cause”.

CHARLES SPENCER, brother of Princess Diana, at St Paul's Cathedral ahead of 10th Anniversary Service for Invictus Games
Earl Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes extended their support to the Prince when he visited Glasgow this month.

According to the Royal commentator, Tom Quinn, the demonstration of support by the Earl Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes at Harry’s Invictus Games event earlier this month proved “where their loyalties lie”.

In his previous conversation with The Mirror, Tom suggested that the Spencer family have had an uneasy relationship with the Royal Family ever since the death of Princess Diana. Tom emphasized that Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, was overtly critical of the treatment of his sister by the Royal Family, most criticisms were directed towards Prince Charles at that time.

There is “still a lot of bitterness around”, Tom remarked. He signified that the Spencers’ decision to stand by Harry was noteworthy. In his words, “The fact that the Spencers were out in full force for Harry on this visit speaks volumes about where their loyalties lie. Like Harry, the Spencers still view the Royal Family, to some extent, as the adversary.”
