Stuart Waiton: Outrage at Boris is a troubling sign of the new illiberalism

ROWAN Atkinson was brave to come out in defence of Boris Johnson and to do so by saying that he thought Boris’ remarks about burkas and letterboxes were funny was an important demonstration of what a genuinely tolerant, free and progressive society looks like.
