New golf venue reveals its first late-night sporting even
American Football fever is set to hit Glasgow with Topgolf announcing it will broadcast the Big Game live from its new venue in Rutherglen on Sunday 12 February, in the first of its late-night sports broadcasting events.
The biggest game in American football will see Philadelphia take on Kansas City at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona with the match set to start at 11.30pm UK time. With its growing popularity in the UK as a sport, Scottish NFL fans are in for a treat as American headquartered Topgolf brings some NFL magic to Glasgow.
Guests can purchase a package, which gives them access to their own bay, for the duration of the game where they can play as much Topgolf as they like. Each bay features a HDTV with live commentary ensuring fans can enjoy the Big Game as they play, or they can move to the bar or lower lounge where they can take in the action on Topgolf’s large HDTV screens, where they won’t miss a moment. Each bay will be served delicious chicken wings and nachos and also have access to a fully-licensed late-night bar.
Topgolf opened in December 2022 and has quickly established itself as one of Glasgow’s top entertainment spots with fans in their thousands enjoying a game in the state-of-the-art climate-controlled bays.
Simon Green, head of operations at Topgolf Glasgow, said: “As a proud US company we are delighted to be bringing the Big Game to Glaswegians in the first of our late-night sports events. American Football fans can enjoy top-notch food and drink offering, large screen TVs and unlimited Topgolf game play and plenty of fans ready to join us, we’re expecting a great atmosphere and hopefully an action-packed match.”
Bay packages start from £40 per person based on six players in a bay. Price includes unlimited Topgolf game play from 11.15pm and for the duration of the game, signature nachos and wings for the group, access to a TV in the bay or in the bar and lounge area. Drinks can be purchased separately. Bays can be booked here.
