Before we get to this week’s content ideas, let’s take a look at a month long event: Sober October. Many people go sober in October to raise funds for charity and hospitality venues can do their bit to support the cause by highlighting their selections of low and no alcohol drinks. We’ve already seen a handful of venues doing this on social media. Here’s what’s on for the rest of the week: Monday 5th – World Teachers Day Celebrating teaching staff of all kinds, venues can get involved by sharing video or written lessons of their own, or simply posting a thank you note on social media to all those who imparted knowledge that fed into personal and business achievements. Throwback Thursday A reliable and reusable topic for any week of the year. There’s no restriction on how far back you go. It could be 12 months, 4 weeks or perhaps go waaaay further back in your company history with some old photos and stories of the street or building itself. Find some historic content and bring it back into focus this Thursday. Friday 9th Egg Day We all know how versatile eggs can be: baking, snacks, meals at all times of the day, fast food and even cocktails, can all be used for content on Egg Day this Friday. For some visual inspiration, check out the Eggslut instagram pages for the US and UK. It’s also a prime opportunity to showcase the use of egg alternatives for those with allergies and intolerances. Sunday 11th Porridge Day The humble bowl of porridge acts as a brilliant canvas for colourful and tasty-looking toppings. Sweet, savoury, superfood or spiced there’s a flavour for everyone and it’s just the right time of year to remind people of a warming, nutritious breakfast in the colder mornings.
