Glasgow Authorities Address Incident on Househillmuir Road: An Update

Glasgow police have provided an update on a recent event that took place on Househillmuir Road in the Priesthill area.

As we reported earlier, a multi-agency response, including police officers, firefighters, and incident response units, was dispatched to the scene on Sunday morning. The emergency services were alerted due to a report of a potential ordnance item in the vicinity.

As a safety measure, several homes were evacuated while the emergency crews tackled the situation.

The authorities have now announced that the item in question has been successfully removed, and there is no longer any danger to the public. A spokesperson for the police department stated: “Househillmuir Road in the Pollok region of Glasgow has re-opened after an earlier report of a potential ordnance item discovery. Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams were on site, and the item was removed safely.”

With no ongoing threat to the community, residents have been informed that it is safe to return to their homes.
