Royal insiders report that Prince William and Kate Middleton have a distinct approach when it comes to settling disagreements, which contrasts starkly to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s methods.

The claims provide a different outlook on how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge manage their conflicts, in comparison to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are said to engage much more intensely during disagreements.

Tom Quinn, a renowned royal expert, relayed exclusive insights from his confidential conversations with a palace source regarding private encounters within William and Kate‘s marital life.

Quinn, author of the book ‘Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family’, shared these revelations in a conversation with Express US, where he revealed William and Kate have ‘terrific rows’ as any other couples, but they know how to keep them under control.

“Where some couples might throw heavy vases at each other during an argument, William and Kate throw cushions,” Quinn said. “This way, their arguments never escalate, unlike in the case of Prince Harry and Meghan, where the tension tends to intensify.”

Quinn attributes the distinct handling of disputes by William and Kate to the influence of Queen Elizabeth II and her philosophy of “never complain, never explain,” which they’ve seemingly adopted. In contrast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have deviated from this principle since separating from their royal duties.

Elaborating on his insights, Quinn observes, “William and Kate have patterned their behaviour based on Queen Elizabeth II’s ideals, one of the reasons she has been a remarkable monarch for decades. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s ability to remain measured and stalwart, even when they have occasional disagreements, demonstrates their strong character.”

Quinn also suggested that William and Kate’s ability to resolve debates more fruitfully can be owed to their successful efforts to uphold their privacy, devoid of the magnified “public eye” that Harry and Meghan have faced, which has led to them being “picked apart.”

Despite stepping back from their Royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan’s public roles have widened, following lucrative agreements including Harry’s unfiltered memoir ‘Spare’ and millions of dollars deals with global streaming giants Netflix and Spotify.
