Glasgow Fort is welcoming the EVOLUTION Motor Show this weekend, the city’s biggest ever gathering of electric and low-emission vehicles for visitors to view and test drive for free – with 15 cars on show, including the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, the Kia e-Niro and the newly launched Nissan Ariya.

On Saturday 27th August the motor show will be visiting the centre for the second year running with dedicated experts on hand to talk through the advantages and benefits of the vehicles and to answer questions.

They will also be sharing further insight on the technology used, likely running costs, and carbon savings that can be made by choosing an electric or low-emission vehicles.

Phil Goodman, Centre Director at Glasgow Fort, said: “We’re committed to doing our bit to help support and promote more sustainable living and, on top of being a great experience for our customers, the EVOLUTION Motor Show helps us to do that.

“The event was very popular last year, so we’re pleased to be hosting its return for the second year and look forward to seeing people there this weekend.”

Glasgow Fort has invested in its support for customers driving electrical vehicles, with four permanent charging points on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park.

Colin Boyton at EVOLUTION Motor Show said: “Electric vehicles are no longer the future of motoring, they are the new normal. With this event, we aim to help showcase how the technology works, talk about home and public charging, the cost savings and also demonstrate that ‘range anxiety’ is no longer a problem.

“We know that people are apprehensive about changing from combustion engine vehicles to electric and we hope this event will help people to learn more about the benefits of EVs.”

Visitors must bring their driver’s licence to take part in any test drives on the day.

Glasgow Fort is open 10am – 10pm on weekdays, 9am – 7pm on Saturdays and 10am – 4pm on Sundays. For more information about planning a trip to Glasgow Fort, please visit www.glasgowfort.com.
