Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity will be visiting Buchanan Galleries in celebration of its 20th anniversary and hosting a promotional weekend on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August.
Visitors to the centre will be able to find out more about the charity and its work supporting brave young patients at Scotland’s busiest Children’s Hospital, along with the charity’s annual Sponsored Walk & Fun Day, which raises much needed funds for the cause. Visitors will have the opportunity to sign up and take part in the popular annual event free of charge.
The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Sponsored Walk & Fun Day has been an important date in the fundraising calendar since the charity began in 2001. Following a three-year absence, the family-friendly walk returns to celebrate the charity’s 20th anniversary. Taking place on 4th September from 10am – 4pm, guests can take part in a 3K or 10K route around the West End of Glasgow.
The walk has attracted thousands of participants and offers the opportunity to take in Glasgow’s idyllic surroundings whilst raising money for a good cause. The walk is intended for people of all ages and abilities, with participants able to raise money through sponsorship for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
After crossing the finish line, visitors can enjoy live entertainment from performers, soak up the atmosphere and show off their medal in family photos, all while helping raise funds with child-friendly fundraising games and activities.
