Outlander, the much-adored Starz series, recently celebrated a significant benchmark, and the lead actors, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, marked the occasion with a captivating video.
Earlier this week, the Outlander cast ignited sentimental feelings amongst their fans as they celebrated the show’s tenth anniversary with an appealing video on Instagram.
In the celebration, Caitriona and Sam took the lead, honouring their on-screen family a decade after the first episode of Outlander aired on our televisions back in 2014. Alongside them were their co-actors making a toast to years of Fraser family adventures.
Joining the toast in their set attire were well-known personalities such as Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, John Bell, and David Berry.
Maril Davis, the executive producer, along with new cast members Izzy Meikle-Small and Charles Vandervaart, also joined the festivities. During the jubilation, the actors raised their glasses high, yelling in unison, “Happy Birthday to us!”
After wishing everyone present, Caitriona followed up with a warm message, “A very, very special thank you and congratulations to our fans who have been with us through thick and thin, time travel, love, death, births, marriages. We’re so grateful for your constant love and support.”
This delightful post was flooded with hundreds of comments from fans who took the opportunity to commemorate ten stellar years of following the spell-binding journey of this epic saga and its stars.
One ardent fan responded by expressing their gratitude, “It is us fans who are the lucky ones for being able to enjoy 10 years of this amazing show with this incredible cast. Thank you all for the effort, love, care, and joy you’ve put into creating Outlander.”
“HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY, BEST CAST EVER!” another fan exclaimed. “A huge thank you to Starz for bringing Outlander to us and to Diana Gabaldon for creating the best book series.”
And a fourth fan added: “My husband and I started watching Outlander this year. And we absolutely love it! Congratulations on ten fabulous years!”
Fans will have to be patient for the next series of gripping events in the Fraser family story as the upcoming eight episodes of season seven are due to be released in late November. But, the saga isn’t ending anytime soon, as the cast is already hard at work filming season eight, which is set to conclude the main series.
The excitement is far from over as the Outlander universe is set to dig deeper into history with a spin-off, Blood of My Blood. Focused on revealing the lives of Claire and Jamie’s parents at different times in history, it is scheduled for release next year.
Outlander season 7, part 2, premieres Sunday, November 22 on Starz.
