FOCUS: Project launch
When: 7 July, drop in from 2pm to 4pm
Where: Pollokshields Community Centre + Shields Community Garden (Kenmure Street – G412NT)
The Pollokshields Development Agency has been recently awarded a grant from the Climate Challenge Fund to deliver an exciting project raising awareness of climate change issues in our community.
Over the next two years we will deliver free training workshops, public events and home advice focusing on food and textile waste reduction and energy saving practices.
We will also deliver a Community Fridge, inviting the community to share fresh, healthy food completely free of charge!
We are going to set up an Advisory Board, made of local and committed individuals representing the diverse community. We hope this will enable the community to take ownership of this project and champion it from within.
We aim to engage in partnership working with several community groups, agencies and organisations to deliver the project, strengthening even further our relations in the community.
You are all invited to join us on our project’s launch, happening on the 7th of July, drop in from 2 to 4 pm, at the Pollokshields Community Centre (Kenmure Street, G412NT and Shields Community Garden.
