Glasgow Airport Unveils Cashless Parking System for a Seamless Summer Experience
In anticipation of the bustling summer season, Glasgow Airport is set to roll out a cashless parking system on April 26th. The airport’s decision to transition its short-stay car park to a cashless model promises to provide passengers with a more streamlined and hassle-free drop-off experience.
By accepting payments through cards or contactless methods, the airport aims to simplify the process for travelers. This cashless model will be extended to all remaining pick-up and drop-off facilities by May 19th. Upon entering the airport parking area, visitors will have the option to prepay for parking or pay at one of the revamped Pay Stations upon exiting if they’re only staying for a short period.
For passengers who have pre-booked their parking spots, an automated system will read the vehicle’s registration number, eliminating the need for a ticket. This same technology will be used when exiting the car park, making the process seamless. Those who opt to use the Pay Stations will need to input their vehicle registration number, after which the appropriate fee will be calculated and recognized by the barrier system when leaving.
By integrating this cashless parking system, Glasgow Airport is taking a significant step towards enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers. This user-friendly approach, coupled with the airport’s continuous commitment to innovation and convenience, is sure to leave a lasting impression on travelers and set new standards in the industry.
For those who have pre-booked parking, no ticket will be issued for entering the car park as an automated system will read your vehicle registration which will also allow you to exit.
