Glasgow Anticipates the Launch of a New Steakhouse with a Unique Culinary Experience.

Glasgow’s New Steakhouse

Glasgow eagerly awaits the arrival of The Merchant Steakhouse, its latest culinary addition, slated to open its doors later this month. This innovative, modern Scottish steakhouse is designed to entice food lovers with its array of sumptuous dishes and emphasis on high-quality local ingredients.

Operating from Tuesday to Sunday, noon to 10 pm, The Merchant Steakhouse will showcase the finest Scottish beef, procured from Millers of Speyside farm in the Highlands. Specializing in eight exquisite cuts of Aberdeen Angus beef, each meticulously handpicked by skilled butchers, the restaurant ensures that its steaks are dry-aged for up to 45 days to enhance their flavor profile.

The Merchant Steakhouse takes pride in its unique, custom-built Parrilla grill, inspired by Argentinean culinary techniques. This grill is designed to infuse their steaks with smoky, succulent flavors by grilling them over hot oak charcoals. Guests can indulge in various cuts such as ribeye, fillet, porterhouse, and bavette, all cooked to perfection based on personal preferences.

Some of the standout dishes include the luxurious 500g Chateaubriand, Côte de Boeuf, 1.2kg Tomahawk, and the 600g Beef Wellington, featuring a 45-day dry-aged beef fillet enveloped in a delicate crepe, coated with a tantalizing mushroom and truffle duxelles and topped with a crisp puff pastry.

Beyond the mouthwatering steaks and fresh Scottish seafood, The Merchant Steakhouse also caters to vegetarians with enticing options like Roast Cauliflower Steak, Garden Pea Risotto, Creamed Cauliflower and Mull Cheddar Soup, and Ash-baked Heritage Beetroot Salad, among others.

The venue’s split-level design accommodates a stylish bar where guests can unwind with expertly crafted cocktails and handpicked fine wines while savoring the best of contemporary Scottish cuisine.

Bow Hospitality’s Director, Ryan Bowman, expressed his excitement for the upcoming launch, saying, “We can’t wait to bring customers the finest cuts of prime beef with our own special flair.” He added that it took six years to find the perfect location for The Merchant Steakhouse and that every detail of the restaurant was designed around the custom-built Parilla grill to ensure a unique flavor experience.
