Renowned royal figure, Prince Harry, is anticipated to forego the wedding of one of his son’s godparents, Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, next month. This decision is supposedly a deliberate move to evade escalating tension within his royal family relations. Despite being closely tied to Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, they have purportedly chosen not to be present at the forthcoming marriage ceremony at Chester Cathedral the upcoming month, where the Duke is to be united with Olivia Henson.
On the contrary, Prince William is projected to participate among the 400 guests, sources suggest. Nevertheless, King Charles and Princess Kate will be absent as they remain engrossed in their ongoing cancer treatments. Charles and Princess Kate are reported to have courteously declined, attributing their decision to their health battles. By contrast, the reason for Harry and Meghan’s avoidance of the wedding is believed to be their intention to dodge any potential friction or uncomfortable encounters with other royal relatives.

A royal insider has reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to abstain from participating in the Duke of Westminster’s notable festivities to evade any potential embarrassment, especially as Prince William is set to serve as an usher at the event. A royal source has told The Sun.
“Hugh is amongst the very few steadfast friends of William and Harry’s who have retained brave bonds and avenues of communication with both. While he wishes they could resolve their issues and mend their relationships, he realises the possibility of their reunion before the wedding is slim.”
Following their acclaimed visit to Nigeria, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have travelled back to the US. The pair flew from London Heathrow to the West African country after Harry participated in the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games. After attending a service at St Paul’s Cathedral and a short hotel stay, he rejoined Meghan at the airport, and together they headed to Nigeria.

After their short visit to the West African nation, it appears things may be improving for the couple. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Mirror, “The Sussexes celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary on Sunday (May 19). Following the successful three-day trip to Nigeria which seemed much like a royal tour, their future might seem brighter if they carefully plan their future engagements.”
He added, “Meghan’s Netflix cooking and entertaining programme and her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand and Harry’s Netflix Polo series suggest they are venturing into new ventures. They certainly need more A-list endorsements though.”
