Devotees of the popular show Outlander have recently been given a sneak peek at the cast for the highly anticipated prequel, Blood of My Blood, which is due to air on Starz.

The casting decisions for the forthcoming series have been widely endorsed by the devoted followers of the show.

Blood of My Blood, expected to launch in 2025, will explore the compelling backstories of Jamie (portrayed by Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser’s (Caitriona Balfe) parents.

The plot will span across two distinct periods, WWI and 18th Century Scotland, uncovering the origins of the two main characters before Claire’s thrilling journey through time.

The role of Ellen MacKenzie, Jamie’s mother, will be performed by the talented Harriet Slater, while Jamie Roy takes on the role of Jamie’s father, Brian Fraser.

Representing Claire’s parents from early 20th Century England, will be Hermione Corfield taking on the role of Julia Moriston, and Jeremy Irvine set to perform as Henry Beauchamp.
