Snoop Dogg arrives at Glasgow Airport.
Snoop Dogg’s love for the bagpipes is a fun fact that many people may not have known about the rapper, but his recent visit to Glasgow Airport in Scotland has cemented his affinity for the iconic instrument.
When Snoop arrived at Glasgow Airport ahead of his show at the OVO Hydro, he was in for a treat. The locals had arranged for a piper, dressed in a kilt and high-vis jacket, to serenade him with a rendition of ‘Still D.R.E’ by Dr. Dre.
As the bagpipes began to play, Snoop couldn’t help but dance around in circles and show his appreciation for the music. He even gave the piper a thumbs up before getting into his car.
It’s not every day that a rapper from California gets to experience the traditional sounds of Scotland, but Snoop fully immersed himself in the culture during his visit. He was even pictured holding on to some of the pipes and posing with the piper, Ross Ainslie.
Ainslie’s bagpiping skills have been widely praised since the video of him entertaining Snoop was shared online. Viewers have dubbed him the “Snoop of the piping world,” with one fan writing, “Pipe it like it’s hot. Awesome man!”
It’s clear that Snoop’s love for the bagpipes is no secret, and his appreciation for the Scottish instrument has now reached new heights. Who knows, maybe we’ll see a bagpipe solo on his next album.
As for his delayed show at the OVO Hydro, Snoop made up for lost time and gave an unforgettable performance to a packed audience. But we can’t help but wonder if the bagpipes made a cameo during the show.
