Meghan Markle and Prince Harry exhibited intriguing body language during her birthday celebration, according to an expert in the field.
Aug 4 marked the 43rd birthday of the Duchess of Sussex, where she spent a private day with her partner Prince Harry, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Coincidentally, the same day also witnessed the release of the royal couple’s first combined TV interview in three years on an American channel.
However, the previous year saw a more public celebration when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to dine at the local eatery Tre Lune in Montecito, California. The chic Italian restaurant has served famous guests such as Ellen Degeneres and the Kardashians in the past.
Meghan donned a shoulder-baring black and white tube dress whereas author Harry was spotted in an all-linen ensemble. Judi James, a body language expert, indicated that in the pictures, Prince Harry seemed to play an “entourage” role.
Judi had previously shared with the Mirror: “Harry appears to be in an entourage role, following wife Meghan out of the restaurant on her birthday.” Whilst the birthday girl wore a suitable strapless dress for the occasion accompanied by a Cult Gaia bag and strappy sandals, sets of linen shirt and trousers were the choice for Harry.
The expert noted that Meghan was “unquestionably the lead and was in birthday ‘star’ mode”. Her body language exhibited “joy and confidence as she mingled with others” she said. The couple had recently appeared in a promotional video for the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund, a programme that provides scholarships to young leaders.
In attempting to yield a “united front”, the pair hoped to be “considered as inseparable”. However, Judi noticed some discrepancies in their unity.

Judi commented, “Harry follows behind, and his tense lip-sucking and mouth clamping suggest a sense of preoccupation.” Shockingly, “They don’t seem to be interacting as a couple for some reason, with Harry engaging with one set of guests while Meghan appears to be conversing with another.”
Moreover, the expert juxtaposed the royal pair with conventional celebrity couples, explaining, “Usually, A-list celebrities exit restaurants on date-nights hand in hand, with the man often appearing protective of his partner in front of the press. However, in these images, there’s no sign of touching or hand-holding from a typically tactile couple.”
