Lauren Lyle, beloved for her portrayal of Marsali Fraser in the hit Starz drama Outlander, recently shared her reflections on returning for the eighth and final season of the show.

The proud Scottish actress has stirred curiosity about Marsali’s future in the show’s concluding season, suggesting that her character might make subsequent appearances.

Marsali, who was absent in the seventh season, is anticipated to play a significant role in the final chapter of the Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) saga, set in the historic scenery of Glasgow.

Lauren, also esteemed for her role in the ITV detective drama Karen Pirie, has gained popularity since her debut as Jamie’s stepdaughter in the show’s second season.

Sharing her feelings about returning to the set, she admitted, “It’s strange to be back, but it’s exciting. It feels like everything and nothing has changed. It’s truly amazing.”

During a discussion with virginradio.co.uk, Lauren underscored the significance of saying farewell to her iconic role, which she continued to play even after landing successful roles in Karen Pirie and the BBC’s Vigil.

Interestingly, she also hinted that this might not be the last time Outlander fans see Marsali.

“We can’t be sure if this is a complete goodbye,” she mused.

Lauren was excited to return for the final season, stating, “The show and its fans have had such a profound impact on my life. I wanted to return to conclude that story.”
